As someone who worked in a studio pre-digital, sweating away working a PMT camera these shots of 'Darkrooms' by Richard Nicholson really resonated with me. I personally don't miss the darkroom but what i think of when i look at these photographs is craft, the craft of the darkroom. I, like i'm sure a lot of people are nosy and i love seeing other peoples workspaces, all the clippings, souvenirs, the deitrus of studio life in these shots are fascinating and give a really nice insight into the people who work there.
"I want to stay here forever" is such a nice statement.
